Outhold is a short, minimalistic incremental game that blends tower defense strategy with a deep meta-progression. Experiment with builds and find overpowered synergies to defend the dwindling fires of Outhold. Addictive game loop Start a run, see how far you get. Use your collected resources to buy upgrades and try again. Become powerful enough to obliterate everything coming against you. Deep upgrade tree Create unique builds that fit your playstyle. Experimentation is rewarded, and all upgrades can be refunded for free. Strategize Focus on upgrading just one specific tower, or find unique tower synergies. Heck yeah! This game is great.  frustrated at this style of game (do a run, upgrade on a tree) for a while now because so many of them have upgrades which are simply “increase health” or “increase damage” – and so many of them end with the tree being maxed out. This game is not that. The upgrades are interesting and synergistic, and you have to consider tradeoffs. You actually have to use your brain! Add on to that the challenges on each level which require you to experiment with different builds. One level may be asking you to take damage on purpose. Another may be asking you to do burn damage.
