A Roguelike Built Around the Clock The main structure of Ascend to ZERO is immediately satisfying. Each run sends an Avatar through a series of zones filled with monsters, challenges, bosses, and rewards. The goal is to survive long enough to grow stronger, push deeper into the zone, and eventually defeat the main boss waiting at the end. Along the way, players collect chips that increase stats, upgrade weapons, improve survivability, or create new ways to keep the clock from reaching zero. What makes this work is how quickly the game rewards you. Your Avatar starts each run at level one, but that number doesn’t stay low for long.
